Over the last forty-five years, we’ve grown into a nationwide leader in tree, shrub, and lawn care—and we’re looking for dedicated professionals who want to grow with us.

The Ground Operations Specialist Crew Leader plays a critical leadership role on the team. This position oversees day-to-day field operations, ensuring the crew performs safe, efficient, and high-quality tree care services. The Crew Lead helps train team members, communicates with clients, and supports the Crew Leader and branch leadership in achieving operational goals.

As a Ground Operations Specialist Crew Leader, you’ll guide and support your crew through all aspects of pruning, removals, and other tree care services. You’ll operate and oversee the safe use of equipment such as chippers, saws, and aerial lifts. You’ll also ensure work zones are set up and maintained safely, job tasks are completed efficiently, and client expectations are exceeded. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines physical work, technical skill, and team coordination in an outdoor environment.

What Kind of Person We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in tree care or related industry with demonstrated leadership ability
• Working knowledge of proper pruning, rigging, and removal techniques
• Proficient in the safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lift equipment
• Ability to train and guide crew members in proper safety and work practices
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Basic knowledge of common tree species and identification (preferred)

What is Essential
• Willingness to complete required training and obtain necessary certifications and licenses
• Desire to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.

Physical Demands
These physical demands must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and work safely at heights.
