Role Overview

The Project Manager for Shared Services and Field Operations Enablement is responsible for leading cross functional initiatives that improve how field operations, fleet, IT systems, and shared services operate together at scale. This role focuses on operational execution, standardization, and system enablement that directly supports branch level performance, safety, productivity, and customer experience.

Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, this role serves as a critical connector between centralized teams and field operations. The Project Manager ensures initiatives move from concept to execution with discipline, transparency, and measurable results.

Key Objectives

• Improve efficiency and consistency across Field Operations, Fleet, IT, and centralized shared services

• Enable scalable operating models that support multi location growth

• Drive adoption of standardized processes, tools, and systems in the field

• Deliver projects that improve uptime, readiness, safety, and operational performance

Core Responsibilities

Project Execution and Delivery

• Lead end to end project management for operational and systems initiatives supporting Field Operations, Fleet, IT, and Shared Services

• Manage projects such as field systems implementations, fleet process standardization, equipment readiness programs, and operational workflow improvements

• Develop project plans with clear timelines, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics

• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives across geographically distributed teams

Field and Central Partnership

• Partner with Field Operations leadership, Fleet, IT, and Shared Services to define requirements and align priorities

• Act as a bridge between field teams and centralized functions to ensure solutions are practical, adoptable, and scalable

• Facilitate working sessions, pilots, and rollout plans with branch and regional stakeholders

Continuous Improvement and Standardization

• Support the Director of Continuous Improvement in executing enterprise operational improvement initiatives

• Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current state field and shared service processes

• Document current state and future state workflows, SOPs, and operating models

• Drive standardization while allowing for necessary field level flexibility

Technology and Systems Enablement

• Partner with IT to support deployment and optimization of operational systems and tools

• Ensure system changes are aligned with field workflows and operational realities

• Support testing, training coordination, and phased rollouts to minimize disruption

• Track system adoption and operational impact post implementation

Governance, Risk, and Reporting

• Establish project governance, cadence, and escalation paths

• Track progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes using standardized reporting

• Provide clear, concise updates to operational and executive stakeholders

• Measure impact including productivity gains, cycle time reduction, cost avoidance, and service reliability

Process and Documentation

• Ensure projects result in clear documentation, SOPs, and ownership handoffs

• Build repeatable project templates and playbooks for operational initiatives

• Maintain disciplined project records for visibility and continuity

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field

• Five plus years of experience managing cross functional operational or systems focused projects

• Demonstrated experience supporting field based or multi location operations

• PMP

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Field Operations, Fleet Management, IT implementations, or infrastructure programs

• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma

• Experience working in asset heavy or service based organizations
