Overview
Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Denver, CO (remote - must reside in Denver Metro Area)
Salary: $75K - $85K + bonus + benefits

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end closings, and supporting the overall accounting operations to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Perform bank and account reconciliations; record daily cash activity
- Prepare sales tax filings for several state and local jurisdictions
- Maintain detailed inventory schedules
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and reports
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Contribute to the improvement of financial procedures and processes
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2–3 years of accounting experience; internship or public accounting experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA candidate or certification a plus
- Knowledge of ERP systems
Working Conditions:
- Standard office hours, Monday through Friday
- Occasional overtime during closing periods or audits
- Hybrid/remote options available (if applicable)
