Location: Remote + Travel – ideal candidates located in Northeastern US or Colorado
Travel: 50%
Salary: $85,000-$95,000 per year, dependent on experience

The Regional Product Line Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Lawn Care Service Line. They ensure client/customer expectations are met or exceeded daily by supporting assigned branch locations, providing mentorship, training, and continuous improvement for consistency throughout the organization. Monitors key performance indicators, including production schedules, profit, net promoter score, and revenue per hour, promoting sustainability and profitability. The leadership position promotes the SavATree safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Safety
- Review, update, implement, and enforce existing applicable safety programs.
- Visit branch locations to review safety programs and ensure team members in each service line operate safely, efficiently, and productively, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Advocate safety goal of “Path to Zero” and drive to zero.
- Perform periodic accident/incident review to identify trends and determine appropriate course of action, including root cause analysis and shared learning opportunities.
Training
- Establish and help maintain all Lean initiatives and standard work established for Continuous Improvement.
- Partner with Branch leadership to ensure all team members are actively progressing in the Self-Development Advancement (SDAP) program.
- Ensure company standards for service quality, customer relations, safety, and equipment and vehicle care are being maintained at all branch locations.
- Standardize equipment and tools.
- Participate in Green Industry Programs, including trade shows, seminars, and partnerships with local universities, keeping informed of updated best practices.
- Contribute to SavATree's internal seminars and workshops throughout the calendar year.
- Implement time/energy-saving devices/techniques.
- Provide technical and sales support for Arborists and Branch Management.
Compliance
- Communicate with branch locations to verify compliance with Federal and State DEP/DEC regulations on pesticide storage, usage, and application techniques.
- Review branch locations' compliance with all Federal and State licensing requirements.
- Monitor compliance at branch locations with all DOT regulations for the service lines.
Operations and Business Support
- Answer technical questions received from the field.
- Lead meetings with specific service line team member groups to review productivity trends, progress toward business goals, safety performance, customer service, and provide technical training.
- Converse with customers in a professional manner to provide information and answer questions.
- Provide support for key accounts.
- Liaison with vendors related to materials and equipment.
- Contribute to the ongoing focus of promoting SavATree as an employer of choice, actively recruiting key talent, and working with the talent team to proactively meet staffing targets for each branch location.
Qualifications for this Role:
- Degree in Turf Grass Management, Agronomy, or related field.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of experience in golf, sports turf, or lawn care.
- Valid current driver’s license.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office suite.
- Expert knowledge of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customer service focus.
- Prefer current pesticide certifications as required by governing state’s laws.
Physical Environment:
Field and traditional office environment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit and navigate/use computer system. The physical environment requires working both inside and outside in all weather conditions on commercial and residential properties. Activities include balance, bending, climbing, and kneeling. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Sometimes required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. Handling and mixing of pesticides and herbicides may occasionally occur.
