What a day is like: Our Arborist Assistant's focus is to provide sales support through making outbound sales calls, performing lead generation, creating proposals, scheduling appointments and maintaining multiple sales calendars. They provide world-class customer service by answering incoming customer calls, creating and maintaining positive rapport, and processing payments.  The position further supports the branch location by administering the customer database and files, completing paperwork accurately and efficiently, and providing general administrative and office support to Sales Arborists. Set up safely with proper placement of lowering lines in a strong enough crotch, know when to attach a tag line, and engage proper lowering techniques. Know when to double crotch and use other appropriate techniques when working in trees. Able to drop trees, know when to use ropes for take down and identify potential need to use spikes. Perform aerial rescue if needed. What a day is like: Your management focus will be threefold, Sales, Operations, and Administration.  You will develop sales targets, monitor performance, and carry out program guidelines to achieve customer satisfaction while ultimately achieving or exceeding budgets.  Your oversight of operations will ensure maximum productivity and safety.  You will manage the fleet and branch resources to perform all services on time, while meeting our high standards and regulatory compliance.  Finally, you will oversee the proper administration of all paperwork and data entry, implement guidelines, and initiate process improvement sessions to continually improve processes and procedures. DRIVER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION The Driver/Equipment Operator is a key team member serving our customers. This year-round position handles tree spade operations and other key activities completing a variety of interesting jobs each week. Equipment training is provided.   WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE: In this position the Driver/Equipment Operator utilizes skills and specialized training with our specialized trucks and equipment. Interfacing with a variety of other different position in the organization, the position provides opportunity for learning and growth in the green industry.  SKILLS NEEDED AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The ability to run various types of equipment, who enjoys working outdoors High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years driving experience with a clean driving record CDL license   The responsibility and independence to work autonomously Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet client needs A predictable Mon-Fri schedule and 7AM start time, typically 40-50 hours per week.  Saturdays and storm response on a case-by-case basis. Operating truck-mounted log loader from standard open operator station approximately 14’ off the ground. Assisting general tree care crews with material handling and cleanup of the job site, and any other relevant duties. Transporting various equipment including loading, unloading, and load securement. Operating other equipment including trucks, excavators, skid steers, chippers, stump grinders, and cranes. Obtaining any necessary licenses or certifications for compliance and/or career advancement (e.g. MA hoister’s license, national crane operator’s license). Periodically assisting with preventative maintenance including greasing of equipment. Performing daily pre- and post-trip walkaround inspections and notifying supervisor promptly of any mechanical needs or safety issues.
