Purpose of the Role:
The Regional Product Line Manager - Lawn is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Lawn Service Line for their respective region. They ensure client/customer expectations are met or exceeded on a daily basis by supporting assigned branch locations providing mentorship, training and continuous improvement for consistency throughout the organization. Monitors key performance indicators including production schedules, profit, routing, net promoter score, and revenue per hour promoting sustainability and profitability. This leadership position champions the SavATree safety, quality, and productivity standards. A key part of this role is direct support to the RVP, DM and Market Leader to drive Program acceleration, Training efficacy and overall Pitched, Sales and Production growth in each under-served market. This role is an essential part of the overall growth and success of both the Essential and Estate Lawn programs.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Safety
- Review, update, implement, and enforce existing safety programs.
- Visit each branch location to review safety programs and ensure team members in each service line operate safely, efficiently and productively on a daily basis meeting established key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support development & implementation of safety awareness programs for each branch.
- Advocate safety goal of “Path to Zero” and promote a team member led safety culture.
- Perform periodic accident/incident review to identify trends and determine appropriate course of action including root cause analysis, countermeasure development and shared learning opportunities.
Compliance
- Review and enforce compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations for pesticide and fertilizer storage, transportation, and use during branch visits.
- Review and enforce branch compliance with all Federal, State, and Local pesticide and fertilizer applicator and business licensing requirements.
- Audit compliance at branch locations with all DOT regulations.
Training
- Direct support to the RVP, DM and Market Leader to drive both Program acceleration, Training efficacy and overall Pitched, Sales and Production growth in each under-served market.
- Support with training and rollout of the Essential Lawn program as well as with accelerating the Estate Lawn programs.
- Partner with Branch leadership to ensure all team members are actively progressing in the Self Directed Advancement Program (SDAP).
- Ensure company standards for service quality, customer relations, safety, and equipment and vehicle care are being maintained at all branch locations.
- Standardize equipment and tools.
- Contribute to SavATree internal seminars and workshops throughout the calendar year.
- Implement time/energy saving devices/techniques.
- Work in the field with team members to introduce new techniques and champion productivity.
- Provide technical and sales support for Arborists and Branch Management.
- Focus on new team member training for Lawn Specialist, Arborist, and Management positions.
Sales Management and Business Support
- Direct support to the RVP, DM and Market Leader to drive both Program acceleration, Training efficacy and overall Pitched, Sales and Production growth in each under-served market.
- GENBA visits to markets with Lawn at less than 25% of NSR to provide clear support and a plan to achieve 25%+ of NSR within 3 years.
- Monitor and support RVP, District Manager and Market Leaders with Lawn KPI’s to drive overall growth plan in pursuit of the 25% NSR goal.
- Sales training and efficacy, inclusive of ride alongs with Arborists to accelerate sales growth.
Program Development
- Participate in Green Industry Programs including trade shows, seminars, and partnerships with local universities keeping informed of new and updated best practices, products, and techniques.
- Research and evaluate new products and application methods for inclusion in the Lawn program.
- Develop and implement new Lawn services, products and techniques as necessary to keep the Lawn Program on the cutting edge.
Operations Support
- Answer relevant technical questions received from the field, ensure most go through the automated system.
- Lead meetings with specific service line team member groups to review productivity trends, progress to business goals, safety performance, customer service, and provide technical training.
- Converse with customers in professional manner to provide information and answer questions.
- Provide support for key accounts.
- Liaison with vendors related to materials and equipment.
- Contribute to ongoing focus of promoting SavATree as employer of choice, actively recruiting key talent, and working with talent team to proactively support staffing targets for each branch location.
Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Horticulture, Environmental Science).

2-5 years of relevant professional experience in lawn care, horticulture, or a related industry.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of business principles focused on growth and profitability.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices regarding pesticide and fertilizer use.

Highly motivated and ambitious with a strong desire to achieve results.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions.

Strong teamwork orientation and collaboration skills.

Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to branch locations within the region.
Compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience. We also offer PTO, full benefits, and 401k.
